Erectile dysfunction can be an embarrassing feat for men; however, it should be known that there is solace in knowing the facts surrounding erectile dysfunction: over 50% of men age 40 and older have experienced erectile dysfunction at one point or another. Further, it is estimated that millions of men of all ages and lifestyles are afflicted with erectile dysfunction each year. You are not alone! While there are many options available to mitigate the effects of erectile dysfunction on a man’s life, only 10 percent will ever seek treatment to help lessen the effects erectile dysfunction has on their life. It only takes an open and honest discussion with a medical professional to begin finding correct and appropriate treatments options for a man, of which there are many. For erectile dysfunction contributed to by age (like for the 50% of men experiencing erectile dysfunction over the age of 40) there are over ten different oral prescriptions available, and even more differentials available for each brand (ie. liquid, gel capsule, etc). For erectile dysfunction not contributed to age and caused by psychological issues (anxiety, stress, depression) therapy to reduce stress and depression might be the most effective route. Regardless, a man should not feel ashamed for seeking treatment to lessen the burden of erectile dysfunction.
Sometimes erectile dysfunction can be a side effect of other medications, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and depression treatments. It is important to not mix treatments and if you are experiencing high blood pressure or issues with the heart it is important to discuss with a medical doctor about possible options and prevent issues with medication. For each of these various reasons for erectile dysfunction (lifestyle, psychological, physiological), different medications may be more appropriate as a treatment option.
There are several medications available for erectile dysfunction such as Viagra, Kamagra Jelly, Levitra, and Cialis, among others. Each of these have their own derivatives as well. Cialis is one such available option and is known as one of the leading traditional medications available for erectile dysfunction. As with all medications, it is important to be aware of potential side effects. Do not take Cialis with alcohol or other erectile dysfunction medications. Likewise, have an honest discussion with a medical professional to make sure Cialis is an appropriate choice for your lifestyle and avoid potential drug interactions with other prescribed medications.
Cialis requires a prescription by a medical professional and can be purchased through a physical or online pharmacy. Cialis works by increasing blood flow to the penis and allows a man to form and maintain an erection, but requires sexual stimulation to get one. Cialis has different dosage treatments available: daily doses or take as needed doses. Daily doses are given at 2.5 mg or 5 mg in tablet form and should not be taken more than once a day. Take as needed are given as 5 mg, 10 mg, or 20 mg, start working in approximately 30 minutes and the highest dosage amount can work for up to 36 hours.
