Cialis is a common and very widely accepted drug used as a treatment for erectile dysfunction in men. The drug specifically is tadalafil and is classified as an impotence agent drug. Cialis is a unique erectile dysfunction medication as it also treats the symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy (an enlarged prostate). Tadalafil comes as different brands including Adcirca, which is commonly prescribed to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension. It is a not recommended to ever mix Cialis and Adcirca as adverse effect can occur. There are some other specific medications that can have bad consequences when used while taking Cialis. So it is very important to tell your doctor about all or any medications you are taking before being prescribed Cialis. Riociguat (Adempas) is one medication in particular that is of grave concern and is often recommended that it not be mixed with Cialis.

Like many erectile dysfunction treatment drugs, Cialis may not be taken by men who take nitrate drugs for pain or cardiovascular problems. The following nitrate drugs; nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate, isosorbide mononitrate, and some recreational drugs such as “poppers” are all considered dangerous when mixed with Cialis as they can cause an almost immediate decrease in blood pressure, which can result in death. As with any erectile dysfunction treatment it is recommended to contact your doctor if you experience a painful erection, or one that lasts for more than four hours. It is said that in the event of a prolonged erection (priapism) the penis can become damaged. And finally it is important to immediately stop using Cialis and seek medical attention if you have a sudden loss of vision.
Some people are in fact allergic to Tadalafil and this will prohibit their usage of Cialis for obvious reasons. Before taking Cialis be sure to tell your doctor if you have experienced any of the following; heart disease or heart rhythm problems, coronary artery disease; a recent heart attack (within the past 90 days), a recent history (in the previous 6 months) of a stroke, or congestive heart failure, angina (chest pain), multiple myeloma, or leukemia, high or low blood pressure, liver or kidney disease (or if you are undergoing dialysis treatments), blood cell disorder like sickle cell anemia, bleeding disorder such as hemophilia, stomach ulcers, retinitis pigmentosa (which is an inherited condition of the eye), a physical deformity of the penis (like Peyronie’s disease), or if you have been told you should not have sexual intercourse for health reasons. Cialis is a 20mg pill form of tadalafil and is directed to be taken as one table per twenty-four hours. The pill can be taken with or without food, but water is recommended. If you become tired, dizzy, nauseous, or feeling pain during sexual activity after taking Cialis, make sure to stop all activity and rest. Especially if you are feeling tingling in your chest, or numbness in your neck, arms, or jaw, make sure to stop and contact your doctor right away.
These symptoms could be a display of serious and potentially dangerous side effects of Cialis. Like many drugs it is recommended to store Cialis in a place that is void of heat and moisture, typically at room temperature.
