Since the year 2000, Cialis (generic name Tadalafil) has been helping men who suffer from both erectile dysfunction, and is currently the most popular ED medication. Impotence and erectile dysfunction can be caused by many differing health issues, such as heart disease, diabetes, and drug side effects. As the percentage of the population of Australia suffering from these issues grows, so may the number of men suffering from erectile dysfunction. In addition to physical causes of erectile dysfunction, psychological impotence in which an erection fails due to psychological reasons (such as depression) accounts for a growing number of erectile dysfunction cases. Sometimes called ‘The Little Yellow Pill’, medications like Cialis may also be used to treat a condition called benign prostatic hyperplasia, a condition in which the prostate gland enlarges as a patient ages. This can cause difficulty urinating as well as a more frequent need to urinate. There are varying physical treatments for both erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia, and arguably the most popular is a prescription drug, such as Cialis.
While many are familiar with the line of television commercials advertising Cialis in the early 2000s, potential users may actually be confused about what the medication actually can and cannot do. First, unlike other ED medication like Viagra, Cialis does not cause the user to become erect, but may allow for greater ease in maintaining an erection. While Viagra typically causes a user to experience an erection within an hour, Cialis remains in use in the body for 1 to 3 days. Cialis may also allow the user to ‘last’ longer, as the medication causes increased blood flow to the penis within 1 to 3 days of taking it. However, contrary to suggestions made by the television commercials, Cialis does not lead to a measurable increase in penis size.
Currently there are only three medications available for treatment of erectile dysfunction in Australia, which is estimated to impact approximately 1 million men in the country. While there are several websites that advertise Cialis delivered to your home at a much lower cost than your pharmacy, please be aware that these are generally not legitimate. Only your doctor should prescribe Cialis after careful consideration of your symptoms and after explanation of possible side effects that may occur.
Despite the benefits one may experience from using Cialis, there are several restrictions in place to protect consumers. Since Cialis works by redirecting blood flow, any cardiovascular issues must be adequately discussed with your physician prior to taking Cialis. Users of many recreational drugs should not use Cialis either. Common side effects include dizziness and diarrhea.
Some medicines may be affected by Cialis or may reduce the effectiveness of the medication. These generally include medicines used to treat seizures, those used to treat hypertension, high doses or longtime usage of alcohol, and even common items such as grapefruit juice.
If used correctly and as advised by your doctor, Cialis may lead to life-changing results in your social, romantic, and interpersonal circles.
